Performed by Flick Ferdinando | Directed by David Bernstein

Flick Ferdinando is an extraordinarily talented performer… Expect to be entertained, expect to be disturbed, and expect to laugh a lot. – Three Weeks

HORSE is a delightfully dark physical comedy looking at one woman’s passion for all things equine. From horse-mad teens to pony-club mothers and even the steeds themselves, Ferdinando brings to life a gallery of types and characters in this affectionately wry canter through the world of the horse and the horsey.

Blending a mix of circus cabaret, performance and dance, award-winning Ferdinando performs an hilarious one-woman show that is visually arresting, absurd and just a little bit risqué.

"A fabulous piece of work, as passionately executed as it was beautifully conceived." - The Times

"A teasing hybrid of circus cabaret, performance and dance... Beautiful."  - The Guardian

"Ferdinando’s beautiful to watch – as unselfconscious as she is amusing.” - The Scotsman

"Delightfully wrong…. Refreshingly subversive."  - The Scotsman

HORSE history

HORSE premiered at the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe Festival where it was nominated for a Total Theatre Award for Devised Performance.

In 2010 it was performed at Salisbury International Festival to a sell-out audience, and then at Prague Fringe where it received a 'Spirit of the Fringe Award' nomination and was 'pick of the fringe'.

HORSE future

HORSE will be showing a full run at Adelaide Fringe Festival at the Queens Theatre from Saturday 25 February to Sunday 18 March.

HORSE is scheduled to be part of the Norfolk and Norwich Festival in May 2012.
